I know money is a very personal topic, so allow me a minute to give you a sense of my personal history with money.

Drew's History with Money

First, I am someone who needs to learn things by making mistakes in this life. Over the years, I've made plenty of mistakes around money. This includes getting myself into credit card debt and into trouble with the IRS. Deep down inside myself I always believed I’d be prosperous, but the reality was that my financial life was a mess and I continued to sink further into debt.

Years ago, a mentor of mine sent me a self-help book about money. As I read it, something clicked inside me and for the first time I truly understood that the only thing between me and the money I wanted in my life was me. While money problems did not vanish overnight, I knew I had moved in the right direction because my awareness of money continued to grow.

I decided to study the people around me who seemed to easily attract money into their lives. I noticed that the people who attracted wealth were very conscious about their money. In other words, they always knew how much money they had, where their money went, and they had systems to organize their money.

Immediately I could see how little I had in common with these prosperous folks! In my world, money was a problem and so I did my best to avoid the subject all together. I did not want to know the truth as to where my money was really going.

When I first started learning about money, I understood all the concepts, but I lacked any sort of structure to raise and support my awareness around money. In other words, I had good intentions, but nothing else.

One of my gifts is I am able synthesize many pieces of information to create something more powerful than the sum of its parts. I am able to take the laws of attraction and develop practical means of living in harmony with these principles. Because I am good at designing systems to make my life easier, I set my intention to applying this gift to my money.
